These roles will be somewhat flexible to fit the interests and needs of the applicant and our units, but in general everyone will work in all our Medical Center ICUs. We are looking for individuals motivated to work in the large academic pediatric intensive care units at the clinical instructor level. There are opportunities for board-eligible or certified pediatricians to join the Company Faculty, Section of Critical Care Medicine as Instructors, working in multiple ICUs at Texas Children's Hospital Medical Center. The patient population includes all the pediatric sub-specialties including cardiac, trauma, oncology, transplant, pulmonary hypertension, ECMO, and all surgical subspecialties. There are currently 130 ICU beds in our new Legacy Tower, admitting more than 6,000 critically ill children annually. We recently opened a state-of-the art expansion tower, which is home to our intensive care units, new high intensity operating rooms, and the entire TCH Heart Center. Texas Children's Hospital is a leading academic children's hospital and is the largest free-standing children's hospital in the nation.
